Weekly Preview: 4/4-4/8

6th GOAL:
Students will be finishing their research for Westward Expansion projects. They have chosen a variety of interesting topics that have to do with westward expansion and the middle 1800's. We'll start working on the projects next week in class.

7th GOAL: Students will be starting to make their animated movies this week. Groups have been chosen, and students will be brainstorming materials and plot of their movies at the beginning of this week. At the end of the week, they'll be gathering/making materials and finalizing their storyboards.

8th GOAL: Students will be finishing the movie To Kill a Mockingbird, and then they will be starting their unit on documentary film making.

7th Language Arts: Alphabet poems are due Monday, and then students will be starting their unit on folklore. We'll be focusing on folk tales, fairy tales, and tall tales. This week students will be exploring different folklore from around the world. They will also be doing spelling. Page 166 is due Wednesday, along with corrections from their pretests.
