I'm Just Wondering...

20 NUPoints for responding to the following...

Watch the video clip. Why do people bully others? Why are there some people who are never accepted into society? Why are some of the most profoundly gifted people in the history of the planet ridiculed and belittled? Why are differences not embraced? Why are gifts and talents not applauded by peers? What do you think?

  1. I don't know WHY people would do that. He is an awesome singer! He even made some people cry. I just think he needs a boost of self-confidince

  2. I think that it's because it's a gift that the bully will never have. So jealousy. Wouldn't you be a little jealous? And bullies bully because it makes them feel better about themself by bringing others down.

  3. I think that people bully because there's nothing else they can do-- they don't have this talent, so they think, hey, why don't I belittle him. It goes to jealousy, like Makalya said. People bully me all the time, not for a talent so much, but because I stand up for myself. I think that's because they don't want to admit that they admire what others do. They want to be 'the best'.

  4. Well I know for a fact that I have been bullied and I think that a bully bullies because they get a laugh out of the person that they are picking on. People get made fun of because well the person thinks that well, this person is not the person that I like so well, lets make them miserable and I don't think that that is the way to treat a person. I know that I wouldn't want to be bullied
