  1. I think that it is sad that we lost Miep. I don't know what the world is going to do when we have lost the generation that went through the Holocaust. I just hope that we are educated enoughh not to repeat history. I am glad that Anne's story got out because eventually all the people involved would die and then the world not know her story. But thanks to her we will not forget...

  2. I think that we didn't learn everything we should have from the holocaust. Genocide has happened again and again since then. Of course it is a big deal that Miep died but the world hasn't learned it's lesson yet. I'm saddened by this but there is Genocide right now so history has already repeated itself, in fact it's in progress. I have a feeling that in the future they're going to look back at us and ask, "WHY ON EARTH DIDN'T THEY LEARN THEIR LESSON!?"

  3. I'm glad that she was around long enough to share her story. It's tragic to see her go but at least she knew she helped the future generations learn from the mistakes of the past.

  4. I think that it is really sad that she died. I think it is sad that we have lost the generation of the people who were in the holocaust, and I hope they will continue to educate kids about the holocaust so that nothing like that ever happens again.

  5. Watching the clip reminds me of all the innocent people that died for no reason. I'm glad we have people like Miep and Anne to tell, or show us what the Holocaust was really like. It makes me sad to think that some people still say that the Holocaust was fake, when it was so very big and so very real.

  6. I didn't know she was still alive. She was so brave. It was amazing all that she did to help and I hope that everyone remembers what she did. I also hope that everyone will continue to remember what happened and be a little smarter in the future.

  10. I am really surprised that there was some one who could live that long. If I were her I would be pretty proud.
Its really sad to see her go though.
But she will most likely be in many memories.

  11. That is really sad that Miep died. I thought it was cool that she brought Anne Franks diary out to the world. Surely the world learned lessons from the halocaust. She will never be forgotten.

  12. I think it is really sad that Miep is no longer with us and how she made an impact on lots of peoples lives and she was a role model on lots of other people than Anne Frank.
